摘要
Self-healing issue is the most interesting and desirable characterizes of engineered materials that is inspired from nature. The self-healing issue was developed to create engineering materials with high durability and reliability features. Encapsulation of the healing agents is considered as the more promising methods in self-healing approach. According to this, the healing agents are embedded in micro or nano capsules, vascular-based networks, and micro/nano fibers. Among these approaches, the use of core–shell nanofibers represents high promising potential to develop the self-healing nanofibers with the minimal limitations and shortcomings. The purpose of this chapter is to survey of such agents to give more insights to make progress in construction of self healable core–shell nanofiber agents and also use of them in further various areas.
