Photocatalytic Water Splitting: Fundamentals and Current Concepts

Recent research studies on photocatalyst powder materials have advanced both efficiency of the process and understanding of reaction materials. Particularly, photocatalytic water splitting reaction using photocatalyst powder for the application to solar energy conversion is focused in this chapter. The photocatalysis happens at multiscale temporal and spatial dimensions. This chapter focuses on the fundamental aspects of how photocatalyst powders can improve efficiency for photocatalytic water splitting.
