Abstract Approaches for direct CH fluorination via organometallic intermediates and carbon‐centered radicals were summarized. In the first section, recent progress on palladium‐catalyzed CH fluorination reactions including the scope as well as the mechanism (if investigated in detail) was discussed. The same transformation‐catalyzed by copper and nickel catalyst was further discussed as well. In the second section, two different types of radical fluorination approaches for CH fluorination with electrophilic fluorinating reagents and nucleophilic fluorides were reviewed. Following these two sections, miscellaneous methods for direct CH fluorination were covered in the third section.
