摘要
Li-ion battery (LIB) energy storage technology has a wide range of application prospects in multiple areas due to its advantages of long life, high reliability, and strong environmental adaptability. However, safety issue is an essential factor affecting the rapid expansion of the LIB energy storage industry. This article first analyzes the fire characteristics and thermal runaway mechanism of LIB, and summarizes the causes and monitoring methods of thermal runaway behaviors of LIB, and then summarizes the current typical fire protection technologies and energy storage safety related standards. Finally, the corresponding suggestions are given for the development and application of fire-fighting technology for containerized LIB energy storage system, which provide a reference for the research on fire safety of containerized LIB energy storage systems.
