Heart rate is one of the main vital signs, and its measurement is the most accessible and informative method for assessing the body's response to physical activity. To measure the heart rate, a monitor based on an IPMC sensor, fixed over the radial artery in the area of the wrist joint, is proposed. As a result of studying the characteristics of the IPMC sensor with dimensions of 10 × 5 ×0.3 mm in the range of input displacement amplitudes of 0.1…1 mm, a linear response with a sensitivity coefficient of 0.9 mV/mm was obtained. The possibility of pulse wave registration using the IPMC sensor included in the heart rate monitor prototype has been demonstrated. The circuits for amplification, processing and transmission of the received signal have been developed. Based on the proposed heart rate monitor, a biometric parameter monitoring module can be created as part of a new generation wearable hybrid conformal multimodal sensor-correcting microsystem.
