Potential—pH diagrams for the Sn/H2OCl system

Potential (Eh)—pH diagrams have been derived for the Sn/H2O system at 298 K, including mononuclear and polynuclear hydroxy species not considered in the original Pourbaix diagrams. In addition, the effect of chloride on the Eh—pH diagrams and tin oxide solubilities is described and the significance of the results to tin corrosion and hydrometallurgy is discussed.
