A novel γ-lactone, eutypoid-A and other metabolites from marine fungus Eutypa sp.(#424) from the South China Sea

The metabolites of the mangrove fungus Eutypa sp. (#424) from the South China Sea have been studied. A new compound eutypoid A (1), which is a derivative of α,β-unsaturated γ-lactone, has been isolated from the mycelium.Its structure has been elucidated by spectroscopic methods, mainly 2D NMR techniques. This kind of compounds possess diverse pharmacologically activities, such as inhibitors of cyclin-dependent kinases. The oily liquid from the mycelium is analyzed with GC / MS, the contents of unsaturated fatty acid esters are 57% of total oily liquid.
