摘要
In this letter, multiband efficient asymmetric transmission is realized both numerically and experimentally in the microwave frequency regime, using a three-layered chiral metasurface (CMS). The proposed structure achieves propagation direction dependent polarization transformation where the plane of polarization is rotated by 90° for x/y polarization in the backward/forward direction. The asymmetric polarization transformation functionality for linearly polarized impinging waves is accomplished in three frequency bands: 10.9–11.2 GHz, 14.4–14.8 GHz, and 18.4–18.5 GHz. Moreover, the structure has a robust response to the variation of incidence angle (up to 40°). The measurement results of the fabricated structure are found to be in good agreement with the numerical results.
