Correlation study between Helicobacter Pylori and ulcerative colitis

Objective: To study the relationgship of Helicobacter Pylori(HP) infection and ulcerative colitis.Methods: Fifty cases of ulcerative colitis patients were experimental group and fifty cases of having digestive symptom but examined normally were control group.The infection rates of HP in two groups were analyzed by13C breath test.Results: The infection rates of HP in experimental group(26%)was significantly lower than that in control group(56%).HP infection rate was statistically different(P0.05).Conclusion: HP infection was protective in ulcerative colitis.
