摘要
The antioxidant activity of volatile oil from Mei Pian tree(Cinnamomun burmannii physilogical type) was studied.The volatile oil was extracted by the methods of steam distillation.The antioxidant activity of volatile oil was evaluated by the methods of spectrophotometry,and the antioxidant activities were compared with BHT.The results showed that the activity of scavenging ·OH radicals of volatile oil was stronger than BHT.The activity of scavenging DPPH· radicals and reduce power of volatile oil were weaker than BHT.And the antioxidant activity of volatile oil from Mei Pian tree mainly resulted from the high contents of total phenols and total flavonoids of volatile oil.Therefore,the volatile oil obtained from Mei Pian tree was proved to have strong antioxidant activity.
