The confining pressure and axial pressure effects on the time-dependent stress–strain behavior of salt rock are analyzed quantitatively based on a number of uniaxial and triaxial creep test results in this paper. An exponential function is suggested to model the creep strain from transient to steady-state and found fitting well the creep strain. The strain (or time) hardening effects are analyzed in detail. Calculated values using the proposed functions are compared with experimental results.
