摘要
Production of electrolytic manganese dioxide (electrolytic-MnO2) in Japan has grown rapidly in recent years, particularly since 1963. The total production in 1967 was over 34,000 tons, which constituted approximately 75% of world production. The main use of the electrolytic-MnO2 is for the cathode material (or cathode depolarizer) of dry batteries. In this paper, the historical background, production and export figures for recent years, and the present production processes are briefly summarized from the standpoint of dry battery manufacture.
