Enriching 13C by electrochemical CO2 reduction

In iScience, Barecka and co-workers report that CO2 electroreduction increases the 13C fraction in the unreacted CO2 stream of the electrolyzer. They provide a corresponding scale-up consideration and investigate the economic viability. This research demonstrates the potential of CO2 electroreduction as a practical isotope-enrichment technology.
