摘要
Micro-grids play a vital role in the distribution system under different operating conditions. In this paper, the optimal coordination and relay settings of overcurrent relay are presented and discussed, taking into consideration the coordination time interval within the optimal solution. The E-TAP software package, in addition to the genetic and particle swarm optimization algorithms, is utilized to help determine the optimal setting (linear and nonlinear parameters) of an overcurrent relay. The challenges of optimal coordination of overcurrent relays for microgrid systems considering different case studies are analyzed and tested with the IEEE 4-bus test system, and real microgrid data from 10-bus was considered as a case study.
