摘要
In this research, the effect of different KOH concentrations on the bismuth ferrite (BiFeO 3 ) phase formation and microcrystal size was discussed. Pure phase BiFeO 3 microcrystals were successfully synthesized through controlling different KOH concentrations during the hydrothermal process. The diverse sizes of pristine BiFeO 3 microcrystals were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Their photocatalytic activity was studied by photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) in aqueous solution under visible light irradiation. The results reveal that the composition and particle size of BiFeO 3 microcrystals phase can be controlled with different mineralizer conditions. This work is able to provide a new perspective on the fabrication research of different dimension BiFeO 3 microcrystals.
