摘要
Over the past decades, the prototypes of single-molecule devices have emerged, promoting rapid development in the field of single-molecule electronics. To put such molecular devices toward various practical applications, it is essential to resolve the interface properties of single-molecule devices fully. Herein, following a highlight on the significance and urgency of interface resolving at single-molecule junctions (SMJs), we concisely survey the main progress, focusing on the construction, characterization, and modulation of SMJs. Furthermore, several novel functionalization of SMJs is exemplified and critical challenges towards fabricating reliable molecular devices are discussed. This review will provide a comprehensive picture of interface resolving and consequently offer novel insights into the designing and fabricating of multifunctional molecular devices.
