While proximal junctional pathologies (PJP) such a kyphosis (PJK) or failure (PJF) have been reported in over 40% of adult spinal deformity (ASD) corrections, their clinical impact is unclear. Traditionally, radiographic definitions of PJP have focused on the PJK angle only, ignoring the contribution of listhesis to failure. This study intends to redefine thresholds and mechanisms of PJP and evaluate its clinical impact.
