摘要
Tumor metastasis is a major cause of patient death. In order to improve the cure rate, tumor markers are necessary to investigate because they can reflect the progression and prognosis of tumor. The newly developed photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensors have become one of the most promising strategy in the field of tumor marker analysis in recent years due to their high sensitivity and low cost. More importantly, the combination of PEC technique with biosensing strategies is proved to be more advantageous than conventional sensing methods with higher specificity and sensitivity. Meanwhile, with the development of nanotechnology, novel PEC nanosensors will have greater potential for building more powerful signal amplification systems. This review focuses on the signal amplification strategies of PEC biosensors related to tumor marker detection in the last 5 years. Not only that, we also discussed the future prospects and challenges of PEC biosensor development.
