摘要
Block copolymers (BCPs) is a type of copolymers that have played a critical role in the development of polymer chemistry. With the combination of different monomers, a more extensive range of properties and applications could be achieved than the conventional polymers in polymer chemistry. Furthermore, with the advanced development of the experimental technique, several synthesis methods of block copolymers with different properties and architecture are enabled, which could be exploited in the industry to create multivarious applications in chemistry, physics, medical, and biological. By its wide range of applications in different fields, the development of block copolymers benefits both scientifically and commercially. This article will briefly discuss the background of the block copolymers and their synthesis methods, followed by various applications it applied in different fields such as chemistry, medical and biological.
