Sources of cellulose

In this chapter, the functions of the cellulose, the sources of the cellulose, and the potential of the cellulose were reviewed and discussed in details. The potentiality of the cellulose was applied on feedstock, foods, medicine, and reinforcement materials. While in textile industry, it also utilized the cellulose in various product development depending on its applications, even though the knowledge of cellulose was developed a thousand years ago. Furthermore, in addition, applications of cellulose fibers, i.e., for burning wood, preparing charcoal, and biodegradation of cellulose by rotting also were discussed and reported in this study.
