摘要
This paper presents an ultra-thin conformal metasurface ( $0.0156\lambda_{0}$ ) to reduce backward radar cross section (RCS) of large wavelength scale cylindrical target through efficient and precise manipulation of wave coupling and scattering. The simulated and measured results are in good agreement, verifying that the proposed metasurface can achieve a relatively wide bandwidth (around 7.67%) of efficient RCS reduction over 10 dB at low microwave frequencies. The proposed metasurface has advantages of ultra-thin thickness, conformal profiles and excellent performance, which may possess promising prospects for practical applications.
