摘要
The green analytical technology is introduced to reduce or eliminate hazardous reagents and solvents. Because of that, it is gaining popularity due to the increased concern over the environmental impact of analytical methods and the need for sustainable practices. This technology offers several benefits, such as being environmentally friendly, cost-effective, minimizing waste generation, reducing energy consumption, and using fewer hazardous chemicals. Among them, ultrasound and microwave technologies are widely used in the food sector to extract the target compounds. Therefore, the chapter mainly focuses on green analytical techniques, i.e., ultrasound and microwave, for sample preparation, principle, methodology, advantages, and disadvantages.
