The evolution of zinc-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) materials exhibits fascinating characteristics for precise chemical transformations. Among various MOFs, divalent metal like zinc-based MOFs catalyzed chemical transformations are introduced in this review article because of their nature-adaptability and excellent catalytic action. The fabrication of the Zn-MOFs catalyst is carried out by taking a metal source (for example zinc acetate) with an organic linker such as benzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid, benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid, etc. that allow the design of highly controllable catalytic systems. The current review gives researchers to a broad evaluation of this rapidly evolving field of study and explains how extremely effective Zn-MOF-based catalysts can be produced by designing catalysts and modifying the synthetic routes. The purpose of the current review article is to give an overview of the advancements in the field of chemical synthesis through catalysis utilizing Zn-MOF-derived materials.
