In order to develop cost-effective, environmentally friendly energy alternatives, it is crucial to develop efficient artificial photosynthesis systems and to explore the storage and conversion of solar energy. This paper presents the construction of a binary composite photocatalytic material of Co3@CdS. The catalyst, when subjected to the appropriate conditions, enables the production of hydrogen with a high degree of selectivity. Furthermore, it facilitates the conversion of benzyl alcohol (BA) to benzaldehyde (BAD) under visible light. This work provides a new research perspective for developing efficient artificial photosynthesis systems for solar energy utilization.
