摘要
The corrosion behavior for a newly-developed FeCrNiAl alloy with excellent mechanical properties in both NaCl and H2SO4 solutions has been investigated. This alloy has an fcc/bcc dual-phase microstructure with equiaxed fcc grains and equiaxed or lamellar bcc grains. The corrosion resistance of the alloy is excellent in both solutions, originating mainly in galvanic corrosion together with many small-sized pitting of the bcc phase in both solutions. The passive film consists of Fe and Cr oxides and hydroxides. Our results demonstrate that the alloy has potential industrial applications in the environment containing Cl- and SO4−2 ions.
