In recent years, significant progress in the fields of materials science, manufacturing, and biotechnology has positioned piezoelectric materials as a highly promising candidate for various biomedical applications. Due to their unique ability to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy, piezoelectric materials have demonstrated distinctive advantages for biosensing, disease treatment, and energy harvesting. In this chapter, state-of-the-art piezo-bioelectronic materials and their preparation techniques are systematically outlined, as well as an overview of emerging piezo-bioelectronic applications. Finally, this chapter discusses the current challenges and prospects in the field of piezo-bioelectronic materials, expecting to fuel the development of such materials and their applications.
