A study on effect of current density on magnetic lenses

Attention has been concentrated on the effect of the current density on magnetic objective lens design. The optical properties of various objective lens types have been investigated in terms of current density σ. Arrangement of energizing coil on symmetric magnetic electron lenses also, has been examined. Favorable current density σ regions are estimated for the iron polepiece and iron free magnetic lenses.
