Cyberspace intelligent devices refer to the general term for devices that can connect to the Internet and have data computing and processing capabilities. With the rapid popularization of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, cyberspace intelligent devices are widely used in various fields, and they also bring many security issues. Quickly and comprehensively detecting intelligent devices, discovering and identifying their technical attributes, are the prerequisites for realizing cyberspace security management. As an overview of the detection and identification of intelligent devices in cyberspace, we study and analyze the system framework of intelligent devices, introduce the basic principles and key technologies of intelligent device detection and identification, and propose the basic framework and technical architecture of intelligent devices detection and identification. Then, we systematically summarize and analyze the research status of intelligent device detection technology and fingerprint identification technology. Finally, we discuss the empowering effect of artificial intelligence technology on the detection and identification of intelligent devices in cyberspace from three aspects: automatically generating fingerprints, extracting fingerprint semantic information, and identifying “special traffic”.
