摘要
Abstract Nuclear power industry is a highly regulated and monitored field of operation. Nuclear power organizations have long traditions in investigating safety deviations and sharing lessons learnt, but the focus has been mainly in nuclear safety significant events. Therefore all the learning potential from minor events is not necessarily utilized in the nuclear industry, even though safety research emphasizes the significance to learn even from smaller events or also from successes. In this study, learning from operational events and from minor adverse events in two Finnish nuclear power organizations was studied. The methods used were workshops, personnel survey, and interviews with members of operational event investigation teams and other key persons. This chapter presents insights on factors that could be useful to acknowledge when developing learning from adverse events in the nuclear power industry.
