Intestinal transporters and the absorption of active components of Chinese herbs

The types,structure,distribution,substrates,inhibitors or inducers of intestinal transporters were introduced in this article.Active components of Chinese herbs can be used as substrates,inhibitors and inducers of intestinal transporters that affects intestinal absorption of other drugs.Compatibility of some Chinese herbs will interfere with absorption of active components in the intestines through affecting the transporters.
