摘要
The release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by plants is an important means of transmitting information and self-protection. It is noteworthy that there are differences in VOCs released by plants in different physiological states and metabolic stages. By analyzing the type and content of plant VOCs, we can understand the physiological state in which plants are living. It is critical to fully understand the process of plant VOCs from release to successful detection. This review first briefly introduces the release mechanisms of plant VOCs, and systematically summarizes the factors affecting plant VOCs. The review then focuses specifically on the advantages and disadvantages of various extraction methods and detection methods. When combined, yield optimal performance in terms of detection sensitivity and selectivity. Finally, views and perspectives on the optimization of detection instruments and the development direction of plant VOCs are presented, hoping to enhance the application of plant VOCs in practice.
