摘要
The pipeline is an essential device in chemical engineering and energy industries, which is referred to as the “industrial arteries”. Under severe working conditions, fluid-solid erosion wear easily occurs on the pipeline wall and causes major safe and pollution accidents. However, a comprehensive review of coping strategies for pipelines' fluid-solid erosion wear is not yet available. This paper summarizes four coping strategies for the fluid-solid erosion wear of pipelines: erosion wear modeling, erosion wear detecting, resistance to erosion wear, and erosion wear risk assessment (health management). This review analyzes and reviews the current status of research on pipeline erosion from both theoretical and applied perspectives. Moreover, the development trend of coping strategies for pipelines' erosion wear is foreseen. It is expected that some inspirations and valuable references will be drawn from this paper to guarantee the safe operation of the pipeline system for a long time.
