摘要
This work assesses future scenarios in the island of Kökar (Finland) for the development of the Renewable Energy Communities (REC) and foresee how the local resources as well as flexibility measures will support its future energy and decarbonization targets (2030). In this sense, three scenarios are explored with a progressive increase of the level in the decarbonization, use of renewable sources and electrification targets: Reference, Energy Balance, and Transport Decarbonization. The results of the study show that the expansion of wind electricity as well as the capacity of the transmission line of the island with the mainland are fundamental to achieve energy balance and transport electrification/decarbonization targets. However, the expected increase of local renewable capacities combined with possible limitations of the transmission line can produce curtailments into the system. Finally, flexibility options have a minor impact in the overall electricity balance.
