其它 | Optical thermometers are swiftly becoming favored owing to their heightened sensitivity and adaptability. However, designing thermometers with higher sensitivity and multiple detection modes remains a crucial agenda. Herein, five-mode optical thermometric technologies were triumphantly designed in thermochromic Mn ions-activated Gd3Al3Ga2O12 powders. Upon 279 nm light excitation, three wideband emissions peaked at 630, 697 and 790 nm are detected, attesting the coexistence of Mn2+ and Mn4+ in Gd3Al3Ga2O12. With climbing temperature from 303 to 453 K, the luminescence color shifts from red to orange, which is effortlessly discernible for the naked eyes.
