Social economic status is an important influential factor in students' development;it is also the key index to assess the equity of education.The scientificity of measurement has significant impact on the reliability of research results.Therefore,to measure SES scientifically and effectively has always been the pursuit of researchers.The paper discusses the methodology of construction and measurement of SES,and the methods of calculating single index and synthesizing comprehensive indexes in various contexts home and abroad.At the end,a case study is demonstrated to illustrate the measurement methodology of SES and the significant influence of SES on student attitudes towards math learning.
