摘要
Abstract The collection of juvenile dinosaur remains from the Morrison Formation near Uravan, Colorado is continuing. Since the first reported occurrence published by Galton and Jensen in 1973, the site has proved to be an area of unusual and rare discoveries. To date, at least eight various-sized young Dryosaurus individuals have been identified, ranging from embryo to subadult stages. Of more than 2500 bone fragments collected to date, approximately 90 percent can be attributed to Dryosaurus. The additional 10 percent constitutes at least two types of eggshell as well as various skeletal fragments from a wide range of different taxa that may prove to be a very significant contribution to understanding the paleoecology of this isolated Morrison locality.
