The Determination of Quercetin in Baeckea frutescens L.by HPLC

Objective To develop a method for determining the content of quercetin in the natural herb of Baeckea frutescens L..Methods An HPLC method was set up to determine the content of quercetin in Baeckea frutescens L.,using lichrospher C18(4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm) column,and methanol-water-phosphoric acid-triethylamine(50:50:0.45:0.2) as the mobile phase,the UV detection wavelength was 370 nm,with a flow rate of 1.0ml/min at room temperature.Results A good linear was obtained in the range of 0.08～0.48μg and the average recovery was100.64%,RSD was 1.65%(n=9).Conclusion The method is simple,and with good reproducibility for the determination of quercetin in Baeckea frutescens L.
