摘要
The processing of genuine and high-performance Bi-based aurivillius perovskites with their layered morphology is an emerging topic in coordination chemistry. The inorganic bulk metal oxides restrict due to various factors like difficulty in synthesis, low electrical properties and high cost. This can demand layered structure materials with a high phase transition temperature. This work discusses a detailed analysis of the fabrication mechanisms and layer structure formation of Bi-based aurivillius ceramics. The effects of the layer morphology obtained with various crystal structures are explained. Their chemical stability and crystal chemistry, related to the number “n” of octahedral sheets within the perovskite-like layers, are analyzed. A complete layered Bi-based aurivillius compound hardly reported in several literature reports is investigated in this work. The effects of layered morphology with the dielectric property are also discussed.
