摘要
Dyad learning is an approach in which two students work together on learning tasks and engage in discussions to achieve educational goals. It promotes peer interaction, aiming to improve understanding and retention of concepts through active engagement and shared responsibility. The participants of the study were the 65 grade8 students of Macasandig National High School, Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the dyad learning approach on student’s performance and attitudes towards learning Mathematics. It sought to identify significant differences between student’s pretest and post test scores, as well as their attitudes towards Mathematics, after being exposed to the dyad learning approach. The researcher employed a true experimental design, specifically the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. To analyze the results, the study utilized the mean (average), independent t-test, and paired t-test. The paired t-test revealed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores of students when using the dyad learning approach. With a mean difference of -9.6129, a t-value of -16.2027, and a p-value of 0.00000000000000022185, which is well below the 0.05 significance level, the null hypothesis was rejected. This study concluded that the dyad learning approach can significantly improve students' performance in Mathematics.
