Spine J. 2020; https://doi.org/10.1016/j.spinee.2020.10.021 Abstract Full Text Full Text PDF Scopus (1) Google Scholar ] that suggested that laminoplasty (LP) may be an underutilized procedure for the treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM). After reading this article carefully, although we partially agree with the author's standpoint, the limitations in the article make the final result not as simple as it appears. It is too one-sided to only consider kyphosis and stability in imaging, and imaging data can provide more information for surgical method selection. You raise several interesting points which, I believe, highlight many of the misconceptions regarding the modern execution of cervical laminoplasty.
