摘要
Electrocatalysis is aimed at increasing the electrochemical reaction rates taking place at the surface of electrodes. The development of novel materials with high activity and practical durability for electrocatalysis is considered to be one of the most active and competitive fields in chemistry, energy application, and materials science. In recent years, with the rapidly emerging research fields of nanoscience and nanotechnology, nanomaterials with various morphologies have been introduced into the production of electrocatalysts. Every form has its own significant properties and advantages. General methodologies are needed to mold architectural order in multidimensional nanomaterials that are composed of nanoobjects of various shapes and sizes. This chapter gives an overview of the recent advances in designing advanced nanomaterials with different dimensions as electrocatalysts.
