摘要
In this study, I examined the condition under which others’ help leads to reciprocation of help by using social relation model. Using data from 226 employees working in a telecommunication company located in central China, I found that others’ help is more positively and indirectly related to reciprocated help through feeling gratitude when the over-helping perception was lower rather than higher. These results suggest that over-helping perception provides employees with the emotional cues they need to interpret others’ motives of help, and to decide whether they should engage in reciprocated help.
