Biomass aerogels are expected to be a popular material in construction field due to their sustainability, eco-friendliness and excellent thermal insulation properties. In this paper, high modulus biomass aerogels based on the principle of double cross-linking of physics and chemistry were synthesized by freeze-drying technique using gelatin, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, glutaraldehyde, phytic acid and diatomite as raw materials.
