OBJECTIVE: To investigate approaches for the detection and assessment of allergens in safflower productions so as to shed light on the screening of allergen residues in safflower productions,optimizing of safflower preparation process and prevention of safflower- induced hypersensitivity. METHODS: The safflower pollen proteins were extracted by water-boiling-and-alcohol-precipitation method,i. e,the mice were immunized with safflower pollen protein,and then the specific cell clones were screened,amplified and purified to prepare anti-safflower pollen protein monoclonal antibodies. ELISA method was applied to identify specificity recognition of monoclonal antibodies on safflower pollen protein. RESULTS: Three strains of monoclonal antibodies could all specifically recognize safflower pollen antigen. CONCLUSION: The anti-safflower pollen protein monoclonal antibodies are of great significance in the research of mechanism of safflower-induced hypersensitivity,optimization of preparation process of safflower and reduction of safflower-induced hypersensitivity.
