Objective To evaluate the value of ADC in detecting the lesions of post-radiofrequency ablation of hepatocellutar carcinoma (HCC) with 3.0T MR DWI,and the value of 3.0T DWI in detecting features of HCC. Methods Forty patients with HCC of post-radiofrequency ablation 3—7 d,2 months,6 months underwent 3.0T MR DWI (b=600 s/mm2). The ADC values of lesions pre-and post-radiofrequency ablation were measured and analyzed. Results The ADC values of necrosis tissues decreased evidently in 3—7 d,2 months,6 months, and the values of necrosis tissues in 2 months and 6 months were higher than those of 3-7 d. There were significant differences of ADC values between 3—7 d and 2 months,as well as 3-7 d and 6 months (P0.01),but no significant differences of ADC values was found between 2 months and 6 months (P0.05). There was no significant difference of ADC values of tumors in the viable residue or recurrence tumor tissues among 3-7 d,2 months,6 months (P0.05). Conclusion The ADC values of 3.0T MR DWI can be used in distinguishing the necrosis tissues and the viable residue or recurrence tumor tissues in HCC after radiofrequency ablation.
