Developing cryogen-free multicolor photodetectors is still a challenge for fiber optic communication systems, and their integration with optoelectronics is essential for large-scale use. In this paper, we propose a Tamm plasmon-based hot electron photodetector (HEPD) using high refractive index MoS2 to achieve multicolor photodetection. Unlike the conventional distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) in the Tamm plasmonic structure, this novel HEPD can form several continuous stop band and obtain corresponding multiband reflection dip based on the excitation of Tamm plasmons (TPs) controlled by the number of DBR pairs, and the HEPD has demonstrated six absorptive bands in the near-infrared region, which can be used to generate hot electrons by the excitation of TPs. Our design provides new insights into the cryogen-free multicolor photodetectors for integrated nanophotonics and optic communication.
