Treatment for Pitted Acne Scarring‐Postauricular Punch Grafts followed by Dermabrasion

Abstract. A technique is described for treating pitted acne scarring which is not amenable to other forms of therapy. Punch grafts from postauricular skin are used to replace punch‐excised facial scars. Dermabrasion of treated areas is accomplished 4 to 6 weeks after grafting. Very good results have been attained in three patients, each of whom needed more than 100 transplants.
