摘要
When plants are grown under saline conditions, photosynthetic activity decreases leading to reduced plant growth, leaf area and chlorophyll content.We have studied four white bean landraces (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) from Banat`s area in order to observe their tolerance response regarding leaf area and chlorophyll content under salt stress culture condition induced with the help of an aqueous NaCl solution (106.70 kPa, 320.11 kPa, 512.18 kPa). The plants from the control variant V0 were moistened with distilled water. The increase of NaCl concentrations produced a decrease of chlorophyll a and b concentrations. Stress condition led to growth reduction as shown by fresh weight, dry weight, leaf area (LA) and chlorophyll content.
