摘要
In recent years, new challenges have been raised with the number of systems based on the Internet of things (IoT), creating by that a heterogeneous environment that requires new perspectives of old protocols with an up-to-date measurements and characteristics. WSNs (wireless sensor networks) are one of the many complications in study to be improved on IoT systems, such as in IoT, WSNs are composed of resources limited devices. This very particular specification requires new protocols to ensure good performance of data transmission. In this paper we present an analytic study on a version of the MQTT (message queuing telemetry transport) protocol, one of the most popular protocols used in IoT-based systems, that allows message transferring between two devices with different technologies, it is also known as lightweight and efficient since it takes in consideration the constrained devices on IoT systems. In this article, we evaluate its performance on the different quality of service (QoS) with and without security implementation.
