摘要
Purpose (the aim of the study): Nanozymes, antioxidant-mimicking nanomaterials, are an emerging therapeutic strategy in medical applications related to oxidative stress. Nanozymes can be engineered to mimic endogenous enzymes or directly scavenge excess reactive oxygen species (ROS) that contribute to oxidative stress. Oxidative stress plays a central role in the development of osteoarthritis (OA), however, it remains an elusive therapeutic target as most antioxidants and natural enzymes are limited by poor retention and bioavailability in the joint.
